
En Connection received the first samples of its product. The founders Rohan and Jake, through local networks, met with numerous small business owners and professionals for input on the Melon Pan. Some key takeaways from their meetings include the importance of packaging, focusing not only on B2B but also on B2C markets, and misconceptions in the food industries.
Later in the month, we had the opportunity to compete in pitch competition hosted by the University of Houston; 1rst place was a cash prize of $3,000. We quickly formulated our pitch and practiced it till it was perfect. All in all we ended up placing 4th, but regardless it was an incredible learning experience great practice for future pitches.
